High School Students Earn Scholarships to Study Around the World
STAMFORD, CT – June 9, 2008 – Ten high school students were honored with an AIFS $750 scholarship to participate on the AIFS Summer Advantage program this summer.
By being involved in multicultural activities and serving as a model student to their peers, these ten exceptional high school students were truly deserving of the award.
The winners are: Elizabeth Harrison (Colorado Springs, CO) and Melanie Bouley (Wakefield, RI), who will attend the Sorbonne in Paris; Rachel Lee (Peachtree City, GA), Ryan Brown (Westfield, NJ), Nikki Nies (Oakland, NJ), and Yasmin Fouladi (New York, NY), who will attend Nanjing University in China; Katherine Emberley (Alameda, CA), Erin Magnussen (Freedom, NH), and Ruth Gabor (Syosset, NY), who will attend the University of Granada in Spain; and Casey Ayala (Bartlett, IL), who will attend Richmond, the American International University in London, England.
Hundreds of high school students across the country will study abroad with Summer Advantage this summer. The AIFS Summer Advantage program provides high school students with an edge in their journey toward college. High school students can participate on a Summer Advantage program if they have completed their high school sophomore, junior or senior year.

Participating in a Summer Advantage program allows students to become stronger candidates for acceptance to colleges and universities while earning college credits in an exciting international setting. Students can earn college credits and spend an unforgettable summer in Nanjing, China; London, England; Paris, France; Rome, Italy; St. Petersburg, Russia; or Granada or Salamanca, Spain. |
